ในยุคที่โลกเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว “โลโก้” ไม่ได้เป็นแค่สัญลักษณ์ของแบรนด์อีกต่อไป แต่กลายเป็นเครื่องมือที่สื่อสารความหมายได้ภายในเสี้ยววินาที ทั้งในแง่ของความเข้าใจง่าย ความจดจำ และความคิดสร้างสรรค์ โดยเฉพาะในสายงาน Digital Graphic ที่กำลังเป็นที่นิยมในหมู่นักศึกษายุคใหม่ วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสยามบริหารธุรกิจ (SBAC) จึงมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาแนวทางการเรียนการสอนให้ตอบโจทย์โลกยุคดิจิทัลอย่างแท้จริง งานวิจัยฉบับนี้ได้หยิบเทคนิค “การลดทอน” หรือ Symbolization มาใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการพัฒนาทักษะให้นักศึกษา “คิดเป็น คิดเร็ว และคิดลึก” ผ่านกระบวนการ ออกแบบโลโก้ ที่เน้นสื่อสารแก่นสารสำคัญมากกว่ารูปลักษณ์ภายนอก
In today’s rapidly changing world, logos are no longer just visual identifiers of brands—they’ve become powerful tools for conveying meaning within seconds, emphasizing clarity, memorability, and creativity. This is especially true in the fast-growing field of Digital Graphic design, which is gaining popularity among modern students. Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC) is committed to developing future-ready learning approaches in response to digital-era demands. This research highlights the Symbolization technique as a tool for training students to “think smart, think fast, and think deep” through the process of logo design that prioritizes essential meaning over surface aesthetics.

หากเราลองมองไปรอบๆ จะพบว่าเราใช้ชีวิตอยู่กับเทคนิคนี้มาตลอดโดยที่เราอาจไม่ทันได้สังเกต
ป้ายจราจรคือหนึ่งในตัวอย่างคลาสสิกของ การออกแบบสื่อสารด้วยภาพ (Visual Communication Design) ที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาพคนเดินข้ามถนน ป้ายหยุด หรือป้ายห้ามจอด ล้วนเป็นผลลัพธ์ของกระบวนการ ลดทอนข้อมูล ให้เหลือเพียง “สาระสำคัญ” ที่เข้าใจได้ทันที โดยไม่ต้องใช้ข้อความหรือภาษาพูดร่วมด้วย
Traffic signs are a classic example of visual communication design at its most effective. Icons like pedestrian crossings, stop signs, or no-parking symbols are powerful results of Symbolization—the distillation of meaning into instantly understood visuals without relying on words.

การออกแบบโลโก้ของแอปเหล่านี้จึงไม่ได้เน้นแค่ความสวยงาม แต่ถูกพัฒนาให้ตอบโจทย์ด้าน UI/UX, Digital Branding และ การสื่อสารด้วยภาพ โดยตรง ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจของหลักสูตร Digital Graphic ของ SBAC
Behind the sleek app icons of Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter lies a powerful application of Symbolization—distilling complex brand identities into instantly recognizable visuals, even at thumbnail size on a phone screen.
These logos aren’t just pretty—they’re strategically designed to support UI/UX, digital branding, and visual communication. This principle is a core part of the Digital Graphic curriculum at Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC), where students learn how a “small icon” can represent an entire concept, evoke emotion, and reinforce brand identity.
ลองนึกถึงสัญลักษณ์ปุ่ม Power, Wi-Fi หรือ Bluetooth ที่คุณเห็นอยู่ทุกวันบนอุปกรณ์ไอที ไม่ว่าจะเป็นมือถือ, แล็ปท็อป หรือทีวี สัญลักษณ์เหล่านี้คือผลลัพธ์ของการ ลดทอนแนวคิดที่ซับซ้อน ให้กลายเป็นภาพที่ทุกคนเข้าใจได้ โดยไม่ต้องมีคำบรรยายใด ๆ
การออกแบบปุ่มเหล่านี้เป็นตัวอย่างที่ชัดเจนของ Icon Design ที่มีรากฐานมาจากหลักการ Digital Graphic Design ซึ่งเน้นการสื่อสารผ่านภาพในบริบทที่ต้องรวดเร็ว ชัดเจน และสากล โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในบริบทของ UX/UI Design ที่ต้องให้ผู้ใช้ “เข้าใจในคลิกเดียว” หรือ “กดปุ๊บรู้ปั๊บ”

Imagine the Power, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth icons you see daily on your devices—smartphones, laptops, TVs. These tiny symbols are the result of distilling complex functions into clear, universally understood visuals, all without a single word.
This is a textbook example of effective icon design, rooted in digital graphic principles that prioritize fast, intuitive, and global communication. In UX and UI design, these icons are essential—users must know what to do at a glance, with no room for confusion.
Sometimes the simplest icons come from the most thoughtful design processes.

การลดทอนจากสถาปัตยกรรม (สิ่งปลูกสร้าง)
จากรูปสิ่งปลูกสร้างจริง อาจารย์ให้นักเรียนฝึกแปลงภาพเป็นโทนขาว-ดำ เพื่อมองหาจุดเด่นของรูปทรง จากนั้นจึงใช้เทคนิค การลดทอน (Symbolization) เพื่อออกแบบให้เหลือเพียง “รูปทรงที่สื่อความหมาย” โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องลงรายละเอียดทุกส่วน วิธีนี้ช่วยให้นักเรียนเข้าใจการออกแบบโลโก้จากสิ่งที่พบเห็นในชีวิตจริง
Starting from a real-world architectural structure, students first convert the image into black-and-white to identify its key forms. They then apply symbolization techniques to simplify the structure into a visually meaningful form. This method helps students understand how to design logos inspired by everyday objects and buildings.

This example shows the step-by-step simplification of a living creature—from a realistic photo, to silhouette, to a stylized icon. Students learn to identify core shapes and essential features, which is the foundation of symbolic design in the field of Digital Graphics.

This image uses a lotus flower as inspiration for logo design. Students learn how to analyze natural forms and apply them in real-world branding—like this bank logo, which has been simplified through symbolization while still clearly reflecting its original meaning.

การศึกษานี้มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคการลดทอน (Symbolization) โดยมีเป้าหมายให้นักศึกษาระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นสูงปีที่ 1 สาขาดิจิทัลกราฟิก ได้เรียนรู้และประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิคดังกล่าวอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
การดำเนินการวิจัยประกอบด้วย กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาระดับ ปวส.1 สาขาดิจิทัลกราฟิก วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสยามบริหารธุรกิจ (SBAC) จำนวน 41 คน ทดสอบด้วยแบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาต่อการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคการลดทอน
