SBAC Represents Thailand at the International Workshop on TVET and Adult Education for Sustainable Rural Development in Beijing, China

Dr. Issariya Woraphiphat, Director of Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC), was appointed by the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) to represent Thailand at the International Workshop on Transformation of TVET and Adult Education for Sustainable Rural Development in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, held from June 12-19, 2024. The workshop aimed to foster collaboration and share Best Practices in vocational education policies for sustainability between ASEAN countries and China.

The event focused on enhancing access to quality education in rural areas, leveraging digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to support lifelong learning. Additionally, China has recently passed new vocational education legislation aimed at elevating the quality of vocational education, making it as valued as general education. This move seeks to increase the social acceptance of vocational education and improve the skills of technical workers to drive the country’s economic growth.

This aligns with SBAC’s commitment to modernizing curricula and embracing digital advancements. SBAC’s vision is to produce highly capable graduates with both academic knowledge and practical skills, meeting the demands of the workforce in Thailand and internationally.
