On August 21, 2024, Dr. Isariya Worapipat, Director of Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC), along with the SBAC management team and students, welcomed faculty and students from Jiangsu Vocational College of Business (JSBC), People’s Republic of China, for a Student Exchange Program focused on cultural exchange and tourism in Thailand. The program took place from August 20-26, 2024.
During the exchange, JSBC students took part in an engaging Design Thinking Workshop focused on the topic of Thailand’s Soft Power, aimed at promoting Thai culture in the People’s Republic of China. This workshop encouraged creative thinking and problem-solving approaches to spreading the rich heritage of Thailand abroad.
In addition to the workshop, the students gained valuable hands-on experience in food and beverage service, learning the essential skills required in the hospitality industry. They also had the chance to explore Thai culture through various activities, immersing themselves in the country’s traditions, customs, and vibrant atmosphere.
The exchange provided an excellent platform for JSBC and SBAC students to collaborate and engage in meaningful cultural exchange, fostering new friendships and mutual understanding. Through this experience, SBAC students learned the importance of being gracious hosts, offering a warm welcome to their international peers and ensuring a memorable and enriching visit.
